Members








The Council is a not for profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Native American heritage. The membership is primarily from Indiana, but extends throughout the United States.

Meetings
Meetings are held the third Sunday of every month at 1:30pm at the Boone County 4-H fairgrounds unless otherwise stated.  We do have a pitch-in dinner after the meeting, so be sure to bring a dish to pass.  Our December meeting is a social held on the first Saturday of the month at the fairground Community Building. This also includes a pitch-in dinner to be proceeded by drumming and dancing.

Becoming a Member
Meetings are open attendance and all are welcome to come! In order to become an Active Voting Member you must.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- You must attend at least Three(3) meetings within a Six(6) month period.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the American Indian Council, you can download the application at the bottom of the page or contact the Membership Secretary (Name and number here). An application may also be made available at your first meeting.  A vote to initiate a new member will take place upon their third meeting within 6 months.

Maintaining Membership
To remain an active voting member you must have no more than six(6) unexcused absences for the preceding calendar year, if you do not attend you will be considered inactive. If you do not attend, but your dues are paid you will be placed on the Associate members list and you will continue to receive newsletters until your dues expires.

Annual Dues
Dues are collected at the first meeting of the year for existing members, or upon becoming a new member.

- Family = $28 (Same household or student in college)
